Great shooting for Swarovski again for L’Officiel Middle East for their ‘Tribal Glam & Monochrome Blue Series’. The look was inspired by the late eighties with big hair and bold eyes and neutral lips. A very L.A. look! Our … Continue reading →

My recent shoot “Summer Hues” was recently published in L’Officiel Magazine Middle East. The weather was wonderful albeit very windy with a clear blue sky. The clothes definitely show the wonderful clothes of summer and we were privilege to have brands like Roberto Cavalli and Versace to name but a few! Makeup involved a bright blue eyeshadow that was highlighted in the hair with blue acrylic paint. Hair was a combo of crimped and curls to withstand the winds.
I had a great team working on this shoot. The talented Katie Cousins (hair and makeup), the sweet Sleiman Dayaa (Styling), the lovely Visna who was our model for the day and my assistants Evelyn and Werner Muller.
Lighting was mainly natural light with a large silver sunbounce which proved tricky holding up in the wind. There were times we were nearly taken into the water trying to hold it!
Thanks guys for a great shoot! Photography / Art Direction – Belinda Muller Styling – Sleiman Dayaa Hair & Makeup – Katie Cousins Model – Visna ( Bareface) Assistants – Evelyn Garcia/ Werner Muller

After our meeting with our client, HAVAS PR ME, Chalhoub Group, we decide to shoot at my home. The weather was still very pleasant and we had the bonus of having a huge Banyan tree for shade. I was privilege to have a great team who worked with me on this shoot. Our lovely art director for L’Officiel Magazine, Samar Sadik, Ieva Nemciauskaite, who was responsible for hair, the Bourjois team who was responsible for makeup, the talented Sleiman Dayaa responsible for the styling and the adorable Eva from Bareface Models.
Here are some behind the scenes photos from the shoot.

I recently had the privilege of doing my first L’Officiel C Middle East over shoot for both the English and Arabic Editions. For those who don’t know L’Officiel is one of the oldest magazine brands out there. Been around since 1920’s bringing consistent great editorials and content so I was super excited to be part of the team!
I was assisted by a lovely creative team who made this shoot possible. The artistic director for this shoot was stylish Samar Sadik, great team of Dresscode by Farah, Farah Kabir and Oscar Badibanga, my assistant Evelyn, the sweet Katie Cousins who did the makeup and the talented Shindesu who was responsible for the hair and the wind machine. Been wanting to work with Shin for a while so was elated when he came on board, such a calm soul and creative soul!
Our studio for the shoot was the newly built HotCold Studio in Al Quoz. Definitely my favorite studio in Dubai with all the equipment you need, super friendly service and a BIG plus Dog Friendly as well!! Needles to say my little one Assie came with to add the charm factor!
The light coming through the windows was amazing and an added bonus the slight film of sand on the window created a wonderful diffusion of the light. I added some fill with large white and silver foamcore reflectors, and later add some more fill with the SB 900 flashes at 1/8 stop on Manual Mode. Overall was a great day with a lovely group of creatives and a lovely editorial! Here are extra photos from the shoot!
